NIMC's annual Museum Forum offers the opportunity for the museum sector to reflect on current key issues and consider where the sector is currently and highlight the development priorities.

We are pleased to announce that we will welcome Mike Murawski to speak at Museum Forum 2022. Mike Murawski is a Consultant, change leader, and educator living in Portland, Oregon. After more than 20 years of work in education and museums, Mike brings his personal core values of collaboration and care along with a deeper understanding of placed-based connections into the work that he leads within museums, non-profits, and communities. Mike is the author of Museums as Agents of Change: A Guide to Becoming a Changemaker (2021), author of the Substack publication Agents of Change, and is co-producer of Museums Are Not Neutral, a global advocacy campaign calling for equity-based transformation across museums. 

Join museum professionals from across the sector to hear how museums have risen to the challenges of the last number of years and what opportunities for development we can embrace.

We'll be sharing how NIMC plans to address challenges whilst holding museums and communities at the heart of our Corporate Strategy.

Our Museums, Crisis, and Covid19 project partners will also share some of the findings and outputs of their research, specifically around the use of digital in museums.

A number of local museums will be showcasing their groundbreaking projects themed around sustainability which were completed with our Museums Challenge:Climate Change grant programme funded by DfC and National Lottery Heritage Fund NI.
