Dementia Friends is a light touch information awareness session with a mission to educate, reduce stigma and spread knowledge about dementia
During this friendly and interactive session you’ll learn more about dementia, how it affects a person and what you can do to help people affected by dementia in your community.
This session lasts for 45 minutes and is being delivered for NI museums.
Who is the session suitable for?
This training is suitable for beginners and those looking to refresh their knowledge. It is recommended for both those working front and back of house as information may inform how to work with people living with Dementia but also how to consider interpretation, marketing, visitor services, and other services that may affect them..
This training is available to members of the NI Museums Council. This includes individual members of NIMC and all those who work for an organisational member. If you are not sure whether your organisation is a member, please check by contacting info@nimc.co.uk
