    Siobhan Stevenson

    Siobhan Stevenson ACR is Director of the NI Museums Council and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Council ensuring that it supports and remains relevant to its stakeholders. Siobhan, has more than 30 years experience as heritage professional. She has a diverse background in care of collections, museum and private conservation practice, cultural policy, business planning and strategic development. Formerly, Head of Collections Care at National Museums Northern Ireland and Chair of the Institute of Conservation, she first returned to Belfast as Culture and Arts Manager for Belfast City Council after lecturing at Cardiff University for many years. She has her own consultancy Legacy Conservation offering advice and project management for collection care, conservation, and museum policy and practice.

    Karen Magowan

    As Business Executive Officer of NIMC, Karen is responsible for all organisational and administrative support to the Council's staff and Board of Directors. She is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Council's operational procedures and information systems as well as administering various initiatives particularly the grant and training schemes. Karen ensures the smooth running of the office and undertakes various projects.

    Rachel McCance

    Rachel is the Development Officer (Learning). This role works to support and build capacity within the local museums sector to develop audiences and foster inclusive museums through engagement and learning activities. Two key projects Rachel is involved with are Playful Museums: engaging the under 5s and Dementia Friendly Museums. Rachel is a Dementia Friendly Communities Champion. Rachel also has responsibility for coordinating the annual NIMC training programme. Previously Rachel worked as a Learning Officer within the museum sector and is a trained teacher.

    Eva Lynch

    As Development Officer Eva works on delivering strategic development initiatives and expert support to local museums across Northern Ireland who are participating in the UK Museum Accreditation Scheme. She administers the accreditation scheme and grant funding programmes, and also supports the sector with training, expert advice and promotion. Previously Eva worked in Visitor Services at the Ulster Museum, Mount stewart and National Museum of Ireland. She has an MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies.

    Clodagh Lavelle

    Clodagh is the Digital Museums Coordinator for local museum partners in the 'Reimagine Remake Replay' project. This project engages 16-25 year olds across Northern Ireland with museums and their collections using the latest in creative digital technologies including virtual reality, 3D printing, laser and vinyl engraving, creative photography and filmmaking. As part of her role Clodagh is responsible for the implementation of free creative programmes for young people within partner museums across NI. 'Reimagine, Remake, Replay' is a National Lottery Heritage Fund project and is delivered in partnership with Nerve Centre, National Museums NI, NI Museums Council and NI Screen.
