Museums of Hope: Combining Scientific Data and Storytelling for People & Planet
In Person EventJoin us at the Ulster Museum, Belfast on 11th March for a free, one-day, Fixing Our Broken Planet Community of Practice event for museum practitioners.
Through workshops, talks and informal networking, we will come together to explore the role of museums in cultivating Hope in the face of the planetary emergency. We will explore how, through thoughtful programming, informed scientific research and meaningful community engagement, we can respond to narratives of climate doom and apathy with empowering exhibitions and events. In the current moment we all need museums to cultivate hope for ourselves and our audiences.
This event is free to attend. Food, accommodation and travel (where possible) will be provided by the Natural History Museum, for up to two members of your organisation. Booking is required, complete the form by using the ‘Book Tickets’ button above. Preference for spaces will be given to those working/volunteering/studying in the Northern Ireland museums sector.
NIMC are delighted to have partnered with the Natural History Museum on this event, supported by colleagues in National Museums NI and NI Environment Link.
