Key Stage One Mid-Antrim Museum

This session explores the local home front during The Second World War. Pupils experience the sounds and emotions of the Belfast Blitz from the safety of an Anderson Shelter. They will also explore the theme of rationing through hands-on activities. Pupils will have an opportunity to handle original wartime objects. Sessions last 1 hour and 15 minutes.

NI curriculum areas of learning: The world around us, language and literacy, mathemathica and numeracy: measures. 

Skills and communication development: Thinking skills and personal capabilities, communication, reading and writing skills, team work.
