Key Stage Two Mid-Antrim Museum

Ballymena in the 1920's and today. This hands on session uses a variety of museum objects and photographs to explore what houses and homes were like in the past compared to today and how every day, domestic objects have changed over time. Pupils are encouraged to think about what type of people lived in different types of houses and how that affected the lives they led. A tour of Ballymena Town Hall is included. Sessions last for 1 hour 15 minutes.

The NI Curriculum areas of learning are: The World Around Us, Language & Literacy, Supports the Houses and Homes ICL.

The Skills and Communications used include: Thinking Skills & Personal Capabilities, Communication, Reading & Team work.
