Museum Sustainability Training Day
Hosted by National Trust Springhill
Thursday 27th January 2022, 10.30-15.00
The National Trust (NT) have organised a fantastic opportunity to share their expertise and experience with the wider Northern Irish local museum sector.

The day will consist of a guided tour and a presentation to share best practice on sustainable environmental control as a mitigation strategy for climate change. By installing smarter technology, designed for the collection at Springhill, NT will demonstrate how we are improving the organisation’s sustainability.
The day will be led by Dr Nigel Blades, (Senior National Conservator- Conservation Science) who has shared the National Trust approach worldwide, including at conferences, international training courses and seminars.

As it is planned to be an in person event with refreshments and a light lunch, numbers will be limited. Social distancing and mask wearing will be required.

If you are interested in attending, please email including your name, email address, telephone number and organisation/role by Wednesday 19th January 2022.

Please note that due to limited numbers, the organisers will confirm your place and forward joining instructions thereafter.
The installation of sustainable environmental control measures and associated programme of activities at Springhill House have been supported by the NI Museums Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund through our Museums Challenge: Climate Change grants.
