LET'S TALK University Placements in Museums

What makes a meaningful partnership and placement? How can university placements work successfully in the local museum sector? NI Museums Council's August LET'S TALK will explore these questions on 25th of the month.

In advance of the new academic year and in preparation for the new placement opportunities, this session presents three perspectives- the MA programme tutor, a local museum host and a placement student.

The session will take the form of four short presentations follwoed by a Q&A and discussion.

Presenters will be:

Prof Elizabeth Crooke, Professor of Musuem and Heritage Studies, school of Arts & Humanities, Ulster University

Dr Leonie Hannan, Senior Lecturer in Eighteenth - Century History, School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy & Politics, Queen's University, Belfast

Sean Barden, Curator, Armagh County Museum

Samual Guthrie, MA Public History student 2019-20
