Date: Tuesday 23 June 2020, 3pm
Title: LET’S TALK – Love2Move Online
Summary: Love2Move is a British Gymnastics Foundation dementia friendly chair-based exercise programme. In January and February 2020, a pilot of Love2Move and reminiscence activities took place at three local museums registered as working to become dementia friendly – Mid-Antrim Museum, NI War Memorial and Tower Museum. In response to lockdown, an online pilot of this programme has been developed and is now underway connecting these three museums to local care homes for virtual reminiscence and exercise sessions in a bid to address social isolation during the current COVID situation.
This session will take the form of three short presentations followed a Q&A and discussion. Presenters will be Michael Fryer (Outreach Officer, NI War Memorial), Karen Hutchinson (Love to Move practitioner) and Rachel McCance (Development Officer, NI Museums Council).
Start time: 3pm
Finish: 4pm
Book your place: please email, rachel.mccance@nimc.co.uk, by Friday 19 June 2020.
