2pm-4pm Newry and Mourne Museum

On Tuesday 23 May 2017 Newry and Mourne Museum will welcome Valerie Wilson, Textiles Curator at National Museums Northern Ireland. Valerie is curator of 'A Step in Time: The Story of Irish Dance', an exhibition at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra, which features costumes relating to Newry dancing teacher, Sheila Nolan. In her illustrated talk, Valerie will chart the history of Irish dancing costumes from the late 1880s through to the present day.
