Biodiversity courses run by National Museums Northern Ireland in partnership with the Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR)

National Museums Northern Ireland in partnership with the Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR) delivered a series of biodiversity courses aimed at building capacity within local communities and supporting the recording of high quality information. Popular with local naturalists, environmental scientists and conservation consultants, more than 850 people have attended one of the 64 training courses organised since then.

 

Environmental sustainability improvements to Mount Stewart, National Trust Property

Mount Stewart National Trust property in Northern Ireland recently underwent a 3 year long restoration project which saw many environmentally sustainable improvements to the property such as a biomass boiler as the heat source for humidity control, green electricity tariff, LEDs throughout most of mansion, and rain water harvesting.
