Key Stage Two Carrickfergus Museum
In this session, pupils are taken on a journey of what life was like for a real Carrickfergus Victorian family and their staff. Pupils visit the museum and view the Victorian artefacts including Mrs Weathreup's stunning wedding dress. Pupils gain knowledge of life during Victorian times through interaction, worksheets, role play and hands on activities. Class size is restricted to 35 and the session last 2hrs.
The NI Curriculum areas of learning are: The World Around Us, The Arts, and Language & Literacy.
The skills and communication used included: Thinking skills and personal capabilites, managing information, communication, reading and writing, and team work.
